Love him or hate him, Leon Schuster is very very good at making people laugh at South Africa, and on this album, as always, he’s found a way to access everyone’s laugh trigger. Leon Schuster’s latest offering is once again a political and local current affairs satire of songs mostly in Afrikaans. It contains everything that one would expect from South Africa’s foremost entertainer. It is comedy as it’s very best in Leon’s unique style which is satirical and very, very funny.

bokke… I don’t think that’s a dignified response to a foolish statement. Learn some tact and quit giving south africans a racist reputation.

Comedians are often misunderstood. Sign of maturity in a nation is that criticism can be tolerated even encouraged via humour. After my mother died I left South Africa. As I was a child I am now finding out about South African comedy. Those who are the butt often blame the comedian, but they are just commenting on what they see. At least he is making people think. And I find watching Leon and his ilk great for improving my Afrikaans. Keep it coming.
